Carcass

Hate has its consequence
How could it not?
To hate is to dedicate your body’s resources to destruction
You were made to love
And yet you flee from your natural function
You deceive your humanity
When you refuse to extend compassion to your human counterparts
Hate rots you from the inside
Taking everything in its path until only a carcass remains
Don’t you feel the tug calling you back to your purpose?
It is our greatest gift to love
And yet we toss it away for foolish prejudices
How can you oppress with such ease?
Do you not fear His wrath?
This is God’s earth
And we are all His children here
Hate has its consequence
And you will bear it bitterly if that lesson goes unlearned
