The Beginning

Tallawah Untold came to life as a capstone project during our founder's junior year at Clark Atlanta University (CAU). Formerly called Tallawah Magazine, the project's goal was to highlight the experience of Jamaican students at CAU. For her senior capstone, she used Tallawah Magazine once again to explore the effects of colorism, featurism, and texturism in Jamaica. The project quickly grew into a purpose as she became more passionate about centering Jamaican voices and encouraging discussions about overlooked topics.

PURPOSE

We exist to empower Jamaican narratives.
